Nov 28, 2017 - Friends and Cousins

After much holding of the kitty in between laundry, we were off on another adventure. This time we had two objectives. Our first stop was in Beverly Hills to coordinate a visit with Rowland and Pennie, Jan and Sue. We had all been neighbors and close friends when we all lived in Calhan. We were the first to leave when we moved to Pagosa Springs, then Rowland and Pennie when he needed to move to a lower altitude, and finally Jan and Sue when they finally decided to go on the road. It was a great afternoon. Rowland had made a pot of beans...

Dec 20, 2015 - Addendum to visit with the cousins

My cousin has notified me of an error in the journal. It seems that I have neglected to mention that we also had alligator at Stumpknockers. Out back at the dock is Alan's ever present project, a sailboat which he is restoring. We got there in time for lunch, which we ate on an enclosed porch...

Feb 4, 2014 - Dave & Charlotte De Shetler

Made a short but nice visit to see Dave and Charlotte along with Leo and Harry (who were camping in their field). We all went for a nice lunch at a seafood place there in Inglis known as Shrimp Landing. It was great, weather was great and company was great. Tomorrow we all will be heading to Orlando for the big Hamcation which is also known to Amateur Radio operators as the Southeastern Division Convention and Centennial Celebration and the ARRL President Kay Craigie (N3KN) attended as the featured speaker. Hamcation was very, very wet and...
