May 12, 2012 - Grayton Beach State Park

On Saturday, we drove from Chattanooga, TN to Grayton Beach State Park, where we will stay until we move into the Highlands House on Monday. When we arrived, we had a spot in the back (older) part of the park, which had a VERY narrow lane that was difficult to maneuver. Jim had a lot of trouble getting the camper in the spot, and on Sunday we decided to move to the front circle of the park, which is newer and much nicer than the back. From Grayton Beach State Park on the Florida Gulf Coast … Friday, November 11, 2011 Our week here has gone by very fast, and it’s hard to believe that we only have two full days remaining here. We have spent our week biking, walking, shopping, eating out, and doing some sightseeing. The weather has turned cool the past couple days, and we are hoping for a return to the 70s this weekend. On the Road Again

Jan 13, 2010 - Grayton Beach State Park

Jim and I went to Grayton Beach State Park in the panhandle of Florida from New Years Eve until Tuesday, January 5, 2010. What a beautiful park - very typical of the state parks in Florida that we have stayed at. The sites are private with palmetto and trees in between the sites, giving one lots of privacy. This park has trails cut through the center to each site so you can get to the facilities fairly easily. They have an old section and a new section but the new section does not have the privacy like the old section. Jim had an awful time...
