We spent a few days at Pensacola Beach (Fort Pickens State Park), which is a beautiful section of the Gulf Shore Islands National Seashore. Fort Pickens and the campground are on an island with long stretches of beautiful beach. It was a relaxing time and we saw several nice sunsets - from the campground and from the beach. The sand is white and soft -- and sings under your feet. The fort was interesting - and a walking tour by the National Park Ranger was very good.

May 28, 2009 - Work Day
After a slow start to the morning, Glen decided to do some waxing on the motorhome. He picked a warm-ok-hot day to that much work. I suggested he might have done the waxing while he was in Zapata, but he said he "just didn't have time." :) He's not finished, but one long side is very shiny! He inspired me to do some work. I washed windows and mirrors. That was enough for me! The rest of the day was spent appreciating the air conditioning. It was 76 this morning and 93 this afternoon. Tomorrow will be a travel day.
