Sep 19, 2019 - 60th Birthday - Dinner Murder Mystery Train in Fort Myers

For my 60th birthday, Dad suggested we do the Murder Mystery Dinner Train. He and Mom had done it some years ago and really liked it. I read the reviews and it got very good ones, so I was game. I have to say, it was a lot more fun then I expected. The actors played a scene on the train, in between dinner courses, and then we had to put the clues together to figure out "who done it". It ended up being the obvious person, which was a bit disappointing, I admit. Maybe I read too much Agatha Christie, but I like my murders with an unexpected...

Sep 16, 2019 - Fort Myers to Phoenix

Flying on Delta from Fort Myers to Atlanta to Phoenix. The hotel shuttle service picked me up from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to The Hampton Inn - Airport North where I am staying the night The hotel shuttle would have taken me to any place to eat within a 2 mile radius but I choose to eat at the hotel across the street. Chicken strips and a glass of wine. It was a stressful day of flying!

Jul 4, 2019 - Franklin Lock And Dam Campgrounds

We went over to a very nice campground right on the river, each site is close to the water's edge. We went over for the night to get away from all the fire works in Cape Coral, we have two small dogs that sake all over when fire works are in the sky. We are going to a few state parks that have some nice 72 degree cool water to float down or just to swim in during July's summer heat.

Jun 1, 2019 - Montreal Detriot Fort Myers

We boarded the hotel shuttle at 6:30am to the Montreal Airport. No time this morning for breakfast, maybe we will get something on the flight to Detroit. Arriving at the airport we checked our bags with the Delta Agent, but of course I was not able to check in yesterday so after handing my passport to the agent I ask why. He said everything looked good to him, he printed my boarding pass, circled in red somethings on the boarding pass and told me to be sure to show the circled items circled in red to the next person which I did. The next...

Jan 5, 2019 - Bunche Beach Kayaking

Bunche Beach is a park near the causeway to Sanibel. It has a great launch site, a vendor who rents kayaks, and reasonable parking fees, so it is very popular with the Carefree crowd. When all 18 kayaks from our group got on the water, we headed out to the Gulf and spent our time there. We saw the causeway to Fort Myers Beach on our left, the open Gulf straight ahead of us, the lighthouse on Sanibel in the distance slightly to our right, and the Sanibel causeway to our right. In order to travel up the gulf, we had to go out into the open...

Jun 2, 2018 - Winnebago Minnie Plus 26 Foot

We went over to Jet Blue Park for a RV show on Friday to look at a few trailers. We have a Dutchman Kodiak 20 foot trailer that I took on a trip to Cincinnati, Ohio to a Geocaching Event. I stopped in Brevard,NC at Davidson River Campground to act as a BASE CAMP for a few friends that were coming up to walk the ART LOBI Trail for a 30 miles, three nights of fun. I was to drive them to the trail head and then they would walk back on the trail that ended at the base camp after three nights. My GPS took me on the wrong Davidson River Road to a...

Jan 28, 2018 - Watersport

Florida vinter 2018

Jan 27, 2018 - Fort Myers Beach

Ekstremt fine hvide sandkorn,...

Dec 3, 2017 - Visit with Jan and Sue

After another day at our RV to do laundry and hold the kitty, we drove down the gulf coast of Florida to visit with Jan and Sue. They had been asking us to come visit since they bought their place in a retirement community near the beach. We were worried about damage from the recent hurricanes, but really saw very little that still needed repairs. They are really excited about their new lifestyle and had many things to show us. The first full day we went to a shell beach on Sanibel Island, but went too late in the day to find any really...
