Apr 29, 2011 - Tour De Land

Since the space shuttle launch was postponed we spent the afternoon touring the scenic old city of De Land. The town is right out of the distant past and calls forth the emotions of yesteryear when times were so much simpler and little things mattered. The antique shops were filled with memories while the buildings were unique and artful. The centerpoint of the town is Stetson University with its grand old historic buildings.

TRIP OFA LIFETIME IV

Apr 28, 2011 - De Land, Florida

A day of rest while the tow car light system is repaired. The tow car tail lights were locked on in brake activated position--not good as they need to mimic the coach's tail lights. Several shorts were detected in the wiring system and new wiring was installed. De Land is sweltering hot at 96 degrees. We dined at the De Land Fish House and had fabulously fresh grouper,shrimp,scallops and clams-grilled.
