Sunday was time for our friends to pack up their motorhome for the trip back home, the have to go back to work on Monday. We are going to stay over and maybe go to another place for a few more days. MAYBE!!!! The weather is going to go down to 37 up here and maybe we might go home if it gets that cold for us. So we shall go home on Monday just a day or so before it gets to cold for us. We watch the...

Feb 11, 2013 - A Citrus Day

Today was a great experience. A hearty breakfast got us started and then we were ready for anything. We had some errands to run and the GPS took us through parts of Florida never before seen by the tourist eye. Cattle and oranges and swamp and hills that look like mountains with a few strawberries thrown in. The best experience was going to an orange grove where you get to pick your own. We started with Navels and finished with Temples. The Navels and Linda just didn't get along. The trees are at least twice as tall as my bride and the...

Feb 10, 2013 - Hot day with lots of Ultra Senior Citizens

We got an early start, according to Linda, this morning and took a leisurely drive across Florida. We are now residing in a great resort with lots of amenities. Some of the amenities are shuffleboard, golf, swimming, singing and defibrillator training. We are the teenagers here but the old folks are treating us kids just like family. This really is a very nice resort and may be a place for the kids to drop us off for a couple of months each winter when we get old. Today we introduce you to our video venue. Today's video is of the youngest...

Nov 25, 2012 - What Is All The Noise !!!!!

When we first pulled into the camground, I was driving down the dirt road with the window down and I could hear something rubbing back by the rear trailer tires. After we got all set up , I asked if our friends could hear all the noise that the trailer was doing as we came down the road? They said yes they could hear something but they did not think it was coming from my trailer. I forgot all about the trailer wheels until Sunday afternoon, Norma and I was talking about going home and not going up to Withlacoochee State Forest for a few...

Apr 2, 2012 - Bluegrass And Geocaching

Bluegrass festival is over with and most of the people is gone and we wanted to stay over for a few more days before going home. We went over to the Green Swamp Preserve area near Dade City , Florida. This preserve is the wet lands where you have four rivers that start in this swamp area. We walked on the trials and answered some questions for the earthcache that was on the information boards on the trails. We like the earthcaches because it gets you out in the woods and places that you would not go on your own. We have been coming up here...

Mar 31, 2012 - LET'S GO CAMPING

The camper was ready to go to Sertoma Youth Ranch in Dade City , Florida for the annual bluegrass festival . We were driving U.S. 41 north going up the state highway for a nice slow drive to the bluegrass festival. You see when they do a lot of construction on the interstate the traffic can slow down to about twenty miles per hour , why drive at twenty miles per hours !!!! We like to drive in towns and out in the country , why not enjoy the roads as we did 50 years ago. We can drive up the interstate and get there at the bluegrass in about...

We loaded up the trailer after Thanksgiving Day to head up to a bluegrass music festival with camping this weekend. Had a great weekend with "NO" rain, we were going to stay over until Wednesday. But with the cold front coming in on Monday afternoon, we left around 8 a.m. on Monday to make it home before all the rain. We got home around 1p.m. and was looking at the weather in Tampa, it had dropped twenty degrees and the rain was coming down in buckets. Good thing we came home, no fun in the rain all day. The weekend was nice at the...
