Feb 25, 2017 - Guns, BBQ and Fish

Guns, BBQ and Fish We were up early for a Saturday – 6am early! My dear hubby, Steve, had booked us space at a Firearms class that is necessary in order to apply for a Florida Concealed Carry permit. We have an Alabama permit, but since we changed our residency to Florida, we have 90 days to apply for a Florida permit. We headed to DeFuniak Springs, about a 45 minute drive from our location and arrived at Enforcement Firearms about 15 minutes before the class started at 8am. There was a large crowd – maybe 50 people in the class. There was...

Life in our RV 2017

Feb 23, 2017 - Brakes and food

After we completed the process of establishing our domicile in Crestview on Tuesday, we checked in to the LaQuinta Inn in Ft. Walton Beach. After chilling for a while we decided to have an early dinner. Steve checked in at the front desk for suggestions, and we decided to eat at The Original Crab Shack which was about a quarter of a mile from the hotel. Apr 13, 2016 - Rain, Rain and more Rain

We traveled from Livingston, LA to Cottondale, FL, about 300 miles, and it rained all the way. The red blob on the radar sat right on top of us as we moved east on I-10. It has finally stopped for now, but I expect we will pick up more rain tomorrow on the way to Jax. The Lord was merciful to us and gave us safe travel thru the rainy day. We are in Cottondale, FL and hope to be back in Jax by mid afternoon Thursday. All is good.
