We spoke to all the Cheeses on Skype before checking out this morning and little Alex gave us a nice display of all his new talents, like clapping his hands, crawling and standing using the furniture. bless im! Clearwater was only about 16 miles away but by the time we'd stopped for brekkie (in a place recommended by a friendly cop last night) and had a few google map diversions, we arrived 2 hours later. ... Our room wasn't quite ready, so we decided to go and check out Clearwater Beach. ... After a very quiet week spent mostly by the pool or at the beach enjoying the hot (85°F) weather, we had an exciting weekend in both a negative and positive sense. All in all, no damage, and we consider ourselves quite fortunate, as a tornado touched down about 20 miles north of Clearwater around the same time, and we all know the devastation that tornados can inflict on RVs. ...
