Apr 15, 2014 - Evening in Celebration

Our evening in Celebration, FL ... Tuesday, April 15, 2014 This is turning out to be another busy week. We are having fun though for the most part. We went to Weight Watchers early this morning and ran some other errands before returning to the cottage. Then we quickly got ready to leave for our day trip. We were going to Chuck and Yanin's house near Orlando to spend some time with them. We stopped for a quick bite at Bob Evans in Sebring, FL where we both had a delicious salad. On the Road Again

Mar 15, 2014 - Columbia Restaurant - Celebration Florida

When we are visiting Kissimmee, we usually go to Celebration, a disney designed planned community to eat at a very good Spanish restaurant - The Columbia was founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez, Sr., the Columbia Restaurant is Florida’s oldest restaurant, and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world. Casimiro Sr. took over the restaurant next...

May 2, 2012 - Celebration Florida

We drove to Celebration (established in 1998), a town designed by Walt Disney (has no other affiliation to Disney), what a wonderful town, very clean and has had only two instances of crime in 14 years. We ate at the Columbia Restaurant, we ate at the original restaurant in Ybor City (suburb of Tampa) three years ago. The food is excellent and it was a very enjoyable time. We then drove around the town for about an hour and a half, did not see it all. But it would be a town we would settle down in if we were inclined to put down roots in...

Disney World Trip

Jan 14, 2008 - Mickey Mouse (kinda)

On Friday, we decided to make a trip to Downtown Disney, a vast marketplace with lots of specialty shops. It's divided into three sections - Westside, Pleasure Island, Marketplace. Each section is unique from the others. All have some shopping, but Westside is where you will find Cirque du Soleil and the House of Blues. Pleasure Island is primarily boutique night clubs and includes a Planet Hollywood and a Harley store, and Marketplace is mostly cafes and shopping but also has the Lego Imagination Center...what a fun place! We had a fun...
