May 17, 2013 - Heading Out !!!!!

We our going over to Lake Okeechobee for the weekend of camping , fishing and swimming and of course some Geocaching. Shall be going over the labor day weekend , going over to Lakeland , Florida for the GEOWOODSTOCK EVENT for Geocaching, send out some pictures when we get home. Gary and Norma P.S. Norma and I took the old camper for our last ride , it was like a friend going off and you would never see them again. We left to go out to eat at Subway before heading up to Skip's RV near Punta Gorda , Florida. We have upgraded our camping with new campers from him for the last twenty years. We got a 2013 Dutchmen Kodiak 200QB unloaded weight is 3,804 pounds 24 foot length. We got back from a great weekend of camping at Lake Manatee State Park , this was our last camping trip in the old travel trailer. The PT-126 was constructed over a 14 week period starting in early January 2013 and completing on April 17, 2013. A restored PT boat in Portland, Oregon was used as the model for the construction. Everything below the water line must be cardboard, and 98% of that above the waterline is also cardboard. Components are cut to shape, primed with Killz to seal the pores of the cardboard, and connected with construction adhesive (liquid nails). What do you do on EASTER SUNDAY? Get up and go down to the beach to see the sun rise over the gulf of mexico, see the wonder of the world, think about how this world is so wonderful. Go eat some place because we are need some food and then go for a walk to burn it off. We went up to Charlotte Harbor Preserve state park for a walk on a few trails. We went on the Old Datsun trail and the Hidden Hammock trail. Now it is time to take off our walking shoes and think about this world and say what a wonderful place we live in.

Mar 14, 2013 - Octagon Animal Rescue Center

Merry Mariners Boat Club made a Land Cruise to the Octagon Exotic Animal Rescue Center. Octagon is a virtually unknown jewel for a day trip in SW Florida. Normally I do not shoot photos of animals in cages. Many of these photos demonstrate why. The cage wiring tends to grab the focal point. I managed to outsmart it on a few photos, but not enough. It is march and time to do a little walking , that's right. Time to go out into the forest , woods and trees of the state of Florida. The best trail walking is during the fall , winter or spring time . During the summer it is not to good because that is our rainy season and a lot of the trails might be under water. Feb 16, 2013 - NO RAIN TODAY

We went out today to eat lunch and while we were out way not go look for a few caches in the area. We all had a great time and made it home by about 3 P.M., need to do a few things to the truck and the trailer before we take off on Monday. The food and gas shall wait until Sunday afternoon after we go out for KFC. We had a nice day geocaching and of course when ever we go we pick up trash around the area of the cache.

Today is Feb 14 , "LOVE DAY" Did you send a card to your love one or did you forget!!!! Norma and I shall go out to eat today and get a few things from the store for the trip. This afternoon I went over to pick up my travel trailer from the storage area in North Fort Myers. We can not store a travel trailer or motor home in our back yard of the house here in Cape Coral, but you can have a old torn up motorboat in your yard!!!! Harley is doing so great with his bed rest and not running around . We don't want him to hurt him self from walking to far. So for our trip we needed to get some thing for Harley to ride around in !!! We might have to use the stroller even after he is better so he wont hurt his back again.
