Well we're back on familiar turf again for about a week while visiting family and friends - actually taking a week off - WOW!! Our time in Virginia was spent at a very beautiful and peaceful campground - it was better than some "resorts" we have stayed at - only problem for us was that we were so far away from advertisers. We were about 30 miles west of Richmond and of course lots of history in that area from Richmond to Appomattox (we were in the middle). Oct 27, 2009 - heading south

Just an update, As we prepare to head South to sunny Florida. We will be on the road until about 11/6. as we plan to just meander on down. No rush as my back, hip, and left leg are still a problem. with that said, it's about 90% better than it was. we are looking forward to getting to the house and getting things caught up again. it's looking like we may have a swinging door this winter as many of you have said you plan to visit. Aug 31, 2009 - Vacation's over - Back to Reality

We arrived back at Odetah in Bozrah, CT today. The last 7 days we covered a little over 1800 miles taking the most direct route we could find. Straight across ND, a little SE in Wisc to the port of Manitowoc. Crossed Lake Michigan on a car ferry and continued east across Michigan to Port Huron, then across Ontario to Buffalo, NY. We then dropped down through the Finger Lakes of NY and into CT. (Our butts are sore!!) Our total miles traveled on this journey was 16,389 - WOW!!
