Hi All, We are now in CT, it was a weird day coming here. Of course there are toll roads or turnpike so we had the GPS eliminate them and it took us so far out of our way. It would of been less expensive to take the toll roads. We did see some pretty sites of NY we would of never have seen, but the roads were shitty and it made for too long of a ride in one day. Oct 28, 2011 - East Lyme- Connecticut

Friday we woke up to snow, it had been forecast but still surprised to see it, they told me at the office there was more on its way. We moved on today driving 148 miles to East Lyme in Connecticut, blue skies lovely fall colours & SNOW looked lovely, but freezing. Have bought fur lined boots & we are wearing 4 layers of clothing most days now to keep warm. Wandering America

Oct 10, 2008 - lazy

WOW! We are getting plum lazy. We did not wake up until 10 o’clock this morning. We had planned to be up and on the road to tour by about 9, but the campground is so quiet and the weather so cool that we just slept in. We are now in Connecticut at the small sea town of Niantic. We left the White Mountains of New Hampshire in a gentle, cold rain at 8:30; and 280 miles later, we arrived at the warm sunny seashore. The campground we are staying at is full of seasonal campers.
