Saturday was a dull day, drove to Mystic but it started to rain so gave up to drive home by the time we had reached the RV it had turned to snow coming down heavy. We sat in the RV listening to the wind & snow batter the RV, expecting deep snow the next day to find we only got about 2 inches, we were lucky as within a few miles of us they had a lot more and thousands of homes without electric & told they could be without power for up to a week. One of the places we had no choice to visit was here. tim and Jane on Janie O who we met on the loop live here and if we did not stop, they would have never spoken to us again. We established a great friendship with them with them visiting us in NC and we have been to their home via car. We stay 2 days and it was not enough. What great hosts they were. On Friday, we drove from Narragansett, RI to East Lyme, CT. We stopped in Mystic, CT for a walk around the shops and an obligatory peek at Mystic Pizza.
