Dec 16, 2012 - Justine's 90th Birthday

90 years old!! Wow, Justine certainly has seen and done a lot in her lifetime. We planned a party at the White Oaks Independent Living where Justine and Jean live, and it turned out great. We had 20 family members in attendance at a luncheon, and I had a family tree printout for everyone to look at. Cecelia flew in from Chicago, and Justine's niece Diane and her husband John came to the party, too. It was a very nice afternoon, and Justine said that she had a great time.

Oct 30, 2010 - Off To Meet Owner #1

Let's see ... it's early, it's cold, so what the heck are we doing getting the Cobra out!! Oh yeah, we're going to visit Bruce Bissonette, owner #1 of ERA EXP002. Bruce lives in Manchester, CT which is about an hour north of us. One t-shirt, two sweatshirts, one raincoat, hat, earmuffs, Dick's WWI flying helmet with ear flaps, gloves .... there, I think I'm set! Oh yeah, don't forget the blanket and a cup of hot coffee! Do I think it's going to be cold? You betcha! No rain, blue skies, light wind and we're off .... Bruce & his bride Betsy...

Jul 10, 2010 - Home at last!!!

We are home!!! We arrived home at around 6:45 Saturday night. It is good to be here. We have had an incredible trip and seen some amazing things. God has been completely faithful in his protection, provision and blessing. Thank you for all of your prayers and good wishes. And thanks for joining us on our trip. Oct 9, 2009 - Manchester, CT - Norman Rockwell Museum

(Ron Writing) After a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon we walked over to tour the Norman Rockwell Museum. Rockwell was born in New York and lived most of his life there and in Vermont. But he spent his last 20 years in Stockbridge, MA and this is where he did some of his best work. The museum has an extensive collection of the original oil paintings that were created for the covers of the Saturday Evening Post. Also his famous Four Freedoms and some of his later works that explored social issues of the day. Another gallery has...
