Nov 29, 2013 - We're off again

After celebrating a wonderful Thanksgiving at Steve & Mindy's we hit the road at 7:00 a.m this morning for Florida. We are very anxious to get down there as we purchased a lot in Polk City last spring. We have had a RV pad installed with all the hook-ups and landscaping. We can't wait to see it. This will be a new experience for us as we will pretty much be in one location all winter. We may do a couple of small trips from our site and we hope to get to No. Fort Myers for a couple of weeks later in the winter to see the "gang" we were with...

Mar 23, 2013 - Home!

We arrived home at 5:30 p.m. tonight. It was a long day - 348.5 miles. We were tired when we came in. As we turned into our development two of our neighbors were going out. It was nice to be greeted with tooting horns. When we pulled up to the house to unhitch the car our 90 year old next door neighbor and his care giver came out to greet us. It was cold and windy - thanks Bill & Lena for braving that wind and cold. This was a wonderful winter. We had a few minor issues with the coach - our day/night shade on our big window by the table...

2013 - Florida

Jul 10, 2012 - Home

We left Verona this morning and headed straight for home - express. We got home about 2:00 p.m. Everything is so green and the corn is so high here. The Midwest is so dry - everything is brown and the corn was only about knee high. We've heard that there are heavy losses. We believe it. Even in Wisconsin a lot of the cherry crop has been lost. We bought fresh cherries at the Wood Orchard Farm and although delicious, they were very small. This has been a very enjoyable trip despite the problems with the coach. We will get them taken care of...

When we went to bed last night we were planning to go to Lickdale, PA today; a distance of about 140 miles and then come home on Thursday. However, when Brad got up and we were leisurely eating breakfast he said he thought he'd like to go further. There was a campground further north that he had mentioned and I thought he meant there, but he was actually talking about going home. The weather was not looking too good to travel on Thursday. We quickly got things bottled up for travel and disconnected and left. We were on the road by 9:00 a.m....

Back to Arizona

Dec 30, 2010 - Leaving from Home

We are leaving this morning for our winter travels. This time we are heading to Arizona but we will not be making all the side trips sightseeing. We will stop along the way some and when we get there we will be staying at the Apache Palms RV Park in Tempe from Jan. 15 until early March. We plan to be home the first week of April. There won't be as many entries on this trip journal as there were last year but I will make entries along the way and if we do something interesting while in Arizona.

Back to Arizona

Mar 30, 2010 - Home

We've arrived back home! What a wonderful trip we had. This country is so big and beautiful. Each area is unique with its' own pluses and minuses. It is good to get back home. The house seems huge after living in the coach for so long. It seems so far to walk from the Kitchen sink out to the sun room to the table after being used to two steps from any point in the coach kitchen to the other. We are having to relearn where things are, but are getting back in the swing of things. What's with all this rain though? When we were in Arizona they...
