We managed to check off another state today. Did a quick drive through the NW corner of Rhode Island. By the time we realized we were about to go out of RI we couldn't find a place to stop to get a postcard!! Actually saw some really neat little shops but No Where to park with a trailer! So no RI postcard. But we did eat the BEST hamburger we've had since we left home at a little ice cream/hamburger place called Powder Mill Creamery. It was right beside the Waterman Reservoir and the clear blue sky made the reflections on the lake picture...

May 19, 2008 - Two Days in Connecticut

An observation . . . . It appears that unless you are on an interstate highway or in a modern urban area in the State of Connecticut, roads will be narrow, forests will surround you, and most residences and retail buildings will be from 50 to 300 years old. Very different from the Piedmont of North Carolina. As we move into New England we also are finding that many fences are made of stacked rock.
