We're at the Stateline Campresort & Cabins. Just minutes away from Dayville CT. If we turn right out of the campground and go about 1/4 mile we are in Rhode Island. This weekend is flashback weekend at the campground.(50's, 60's and 70's) This is also the largest pool of any campgrounds we have ever been in. We're near the lake so we get a good breeze. But geez, it's been very hot. So far we've been relaxing and driving around the area. Stone fences are very popular. Some original and some newly built. Lots of roadside produce stands....

Jul 2, 2009 - East Killingly, CT

It’s time to move again, this time we're going to Connecticut. It was an interesting drive today as we had to drive through New York City. We stayed on the interstate, but the traffic was very heavy because of the upcoming holiday weekend. Carl did a good job getting us through there. The weather was rainy so we were not able to see the NY City skyline. We plan to come back to NY later. Our reservations are in a park in the Northeast corner of the state. We need to stay in one place through the weekend because places are hard to find on a...

May 30, 2008 - State Line Camp Ground

The Maiden Voyage, we decide to make last minute reservations, the only place that had any openings, was State Line. This place is the size of a postage stamp. We arrived late in the day, so of course everyone was already set up. All eyes were on me trying to get into my space. Between my camper which is a 14' box and the size of my truck (Toyota Tundra, I had a tad little problem backing in. I have to say people were extremely helpful, maybe to helpful. But any way after 5 attempts I was in. Ok, so now it's time to start unfolding....
