May 21, 2012 - Rainy travel day to Nelson's Family Campground
On Saturday, we bid farewell to our newest friends, Bob and Cindy. They have been fulltiming for over 3 years in their 1956 GM Bus conversion, The Last Resort. As do we, they love this lifestyle. They retired in Seattle after raising a family of 5 and they aren't looking back. We expect to see more of Bob and Cindy this summer as they also are traveling to Newfoundland. They are taking a side trip to meet up with family in Niagra Falls, but we'll be looking for The Last Resort as we travel north. We didn't make it to West Point, but maybe...Jump to full entry
Jun 14, 2011 - Half way to the Cape
After regrouping in PA for a couple of days we hit the road again on our way to Cape Cod. First we stopped in to see the Niagara of Pennsylvania, Bushkill Falls. It was a very pretty gorge with a number of falls and plenty of hiking. There were also a number of outbuildings with Indian history, clothing, gifts etc. We had lunch there and then headed off to........Walmart! Not while you're watching It's finally here. After spending the summer here at Nelson's Family Campground as homeless folks, it's time to head out. Some of you have known for a long time that I have always wanted to full time just like my Mom and Dad. Others of you only found out about it over the last few years. I've been very lucky that Carol also wanted to live the full timing life from the very first day we talked about it. The short version of the name for this journal is found in our header.
