Aug 21, 2012 - Day 4:First we hiked to Crater Lake and then took in a Concert, Crosby Stills and Nash in the evening!

The guys haven't entered a trip journal for this day, but here is the link to the details about the really cool concert they went to. http://www.heyreverb.com/blog/2012/08/22/crosby-stills-nash-red-rocks-review-photos/54502/ They said the sound was great and the Weather was perfect! The concert was outdoors, in an amphitheatre, where the seats were built right into the sides of the Rock Mountain. The acoustics were perfect, and, believe it or not, the band sounded better than they did years ago! The 3 pictures are of crater lake, as we...

Aug 13, 2012 - Red Rock Amphitheatre

We are recuperating from a big night out at the Red Rock Amphitheatre. We went to see what is called "Film on the Rocks" at this wonderful outdoor venue for concerts. It was quite a physical challenge for me as we had to climb up and down many stairs to get to and from the seating area. With the altitude over 6500 feet, I was huffing and puffing and having to rest from time to time to catch my breath. The setting is stunning. Though it was a rare cloudy day, the views were still spectacular, especially as the lights of the metro Denver area...

RV Trip Summer 2012

Aug 28, 2011 - Morrison, CO - Bear Creek Lake Park, Indian Paintbrush Campground

It was only a seventy mile trip down from Estes Park to Morrison. We had planned to stay at Golden but the small park where we wanted to stay didn't have a site we would fit in available so we drove on about 10 more miles to Morrison and were happy to find a spot at the Bear Creek Lake Park just East of Morrison. We did have a third choice picked out but fortunately didn't need to use it. It is a very nice city park that has a very large day use area with a large beach area where they swim, boat, etc. They also have an archery range and...

Oct 15, 2010 - We are Home - Oct.15,2010 at 10:30am

Stayed at Terry and Karens last night and had a good visit. Got home at 10:30am today. What a great trip. 18 states and 9100 miles, and great visits with all. We have unloaded the trailer and will be putting it back in the yard today or tomorrow. The only problem I can think of, was the clothes rod in the closet bent and I had to replace it. Not to bad for 9 weeks.

Sept 16 2010 “Staying at the Poppy Mountain camp site which houses the Bluegrass festival. So far the bands are good, but the weather is hot and today it has rained. We have been going at night to watch the shows, they play until Midnight. On Friday and Saturday will be the big names and we are looking forward to seeing them.
