Jul 27, 2012 - To hot to breathe.......

Our time is winding down and we are starting to get packed up. Due to the heat, OMG, it has been hot. Not even being at 7,000 Ft has helped. It has been difficult for Mom with the elevation. Her heart rate just doesn't like it here. The heat has somewhat subsided, and now the rain has come. Just can't win!! With Mom still in recovery mode, we haven't done much of anything since her surgery. We will get out of the mountains and head for the Heartland and I am sure we will start to see some improvement. Jul 17, 2011 - Moving on to Monument

Since I didn't unhook the car last night, we opened up the drapes, unhooked the utilities and we were on our way. I wanted to leave early as the weather said it was going to be hot today. The drive was non descript and we arrived in Monument 4 hours later. It always helps to travel on Sunday especially when you must travel through Denver. We checked in at Colorado Heights Resort through our ROD membership. We quickly got set up and it was time for lunch. The weather is warm but not unbearable. Until next time.........

Jul 18, 2009 - Leaving Blue Mesa

I made the decision to have Barrie drive the car over the mountain instead of towing and it was a much more enoyable drive leaving then it was coming. We arrived back at Cottonwood Heights in Monument around 2:00. They welcommed us back and we were given a site up on top. These are not the most beautiful sites but they are level and out of the wind. We will be here for the next week until we continue our journey towards Kansas. Until next time.....
