May 22, 2008 - Rocky Mountain National Park and Monument, CO

Rocky Mountain State Park was one of our must see stops on our trip. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate as much as we hoped. It was rainy and overcast most of the day. The entire Ridge Road was not open due to snow. It would be opening on Friday (the day after we leave.) We drove up as far as we could and it was pretty chilly at the top—about 30 degrees and very windy. The view was still spectacular in spite of the weather. Aug 14, 2007 - Monument, CO

Now we are on our way back to Denver for my family reunion. This will be the first time all my brothers & sisters have been together in over 2 years. I have been trying to organize food & activities but no one will give their input. Hopefully it will all work out! We stopped about 2 hours south of Denver.
