Mon Aug 17 – time to move again We packed up and because the DPF malfunction light had come on again on the way to Buena Vista several days ago, we had to do another parked regen before leaving. We traveled down Route 285 to Buena Vista – another 113 miles to our friends’ (Rod and Karen) house in Monte Vista, CO. We continue to be amazed by some of the RVs on the road double towing. We saw a first - truck pulling a tag along trailer, towing a boat! Rod and Karen are great people, we met them in Yuma in early 2014 and have stayed in touch...

Jul 14, 2007 - Monte Vista, CO

Got up early and continued on our way. Headed North on HW 191 from Chinle, AZ to Mexican Water, AZ. This is a very scenic route through the Navajo Indian Reservation. The scenery was beautiful with very expansive vistas of the red sandstone cliffs illuminated in the morning sun. The sky is so clear that you can see very long distances - so different than Southern CA! At Mexican Water we headed East on HW 160 to "Four Corners", the only spot in the USA where four states have an adjoining boarder (Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico). We...
