Our first stop out of Snow Mountain Ranch was Lake George, CO. Guess we thought it would be like old home week. It was a really nice site sitting up on the hill overlooking the lake, and just for Suzie, there were chipmunks everywhere once again. She is sure going to be disappointed when we get to El Centro and the only thing for her to chase is an occasional lizard. Oct 15, 2013 - Eleven Mile State Park

We visited the Eleven Mile State Park today. We have really used our state park pass, we saved a lot by buying it for our extended stay in Colorado. We get into all the state parks for free and also save on camping in any of the Colorado State Parks. We highly recommend it to anyone staying a while in Colorado. The campsites at Eleven Mile State Park are huge and some are right on the water. Eleven Mile State Park is located about 11 miles southwest of the town of Lake George. Sep 7, 2011 - 11 miles plus :-)

Tuesday at the Eleven Mile State Park campground dawned cloudy… (yes I did see it – when I got up to go to the bathroom :-) Nette, Shantia and Frodo walked a long way figuring out where the water faucets were in the campground. Pippin and Jonathan did a little exploring… Good thing because then the rains came. We read and napped and lunched. About mid-afternoon we decided to drive around the 11 Mile Reservoir.
