We stayed 11 days at Crawford Lake State Park near Crawford, CO. This park is very close to the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park (with a seperate entry). 26 May--We hiked the Indian Fire Nature Trail along the West side of Crawford lake… A Great time was had by all. Wendy hike the Crystal Creek trail (in the Curecanti National Recreation Area). This was another great little hike that ended at a "scenic overlook of the black river canyon". Aug 22, 2008 - North Rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison

August 22, 2008 In the morning we took the drive through Colorado National Monument. There were breath taking views of red rock canyons and hoo-doos, reminiscent of Bryce Canyon. We came out at the north entrance of the park in Grand Junction. From there we drove to The north entrance of Black Canyon of The Gunnison, taking RT 50 to Delta and then Rt 92 to Crawford.
