May 8, 2014 - Swinging Bridge

This is part two our our Browns Park Wildlife Refuge visit. If you missed part one, please be sure to check yesterday’s update. When we finished the 8 mile wildlife drive our next stop was the famous “Swinging Bridge”. At first we thought you could only walk over it, but we saw signs saying one car could drive over at a time. May 7, 2014 - Browns Park N.W.R.

We visited Browns Park Wildlife Refuge today, we drove from Craig to the tiny town of Maybell, Colorado. Once in Maybell you turn right and go about 60 miles into the wilderness and follow the signs. This area borders three states, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Browns Park has an extensive area of wetlands and riparian habitat unique for birding.
