We started the day with a tour of the Colorado State Capitol, which was a very busy place today. On the trek north we stopped in Fort Collins to check out some folk art at a place called the Swetsville Zoo. ... Drove a respectable 600 miles today; stopped for the night in Denver, or rather, Lakewood, which I'm told is 22 minutes from downtown. ... We had a very cold morning, only 12 degree but we are going sleigh riding anyway. We ate hot lunch at the room, took a nap then headed to Grand Lake to see the frozen lake. ... We actually walked out in the middle of frozen Grand Lake and in the area of the boat slips. ...
