Jul 29, 2009 - Discovery Science Center

We took Grandma to visit the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. Everyone had a great time testing their skills for the pending mid-west sports season. Haley was all about the science. Their favorite part was Dino Quest. We need to get to that earlier next time! I think Zach was just glad to have time to hang with Dad for a change.

Mar 19, 2009 - Day 3

I continued down Highway 1 and stopped at Morro Bay, which is just north of Pismo Beach, for lunch. Morro Bay is known for this huge random rock that sits just off shore from the harbor. I drove onto the island the rock is on and ate. You aren't allowed to try and climb the rock (which is lame) but apparently there is a lot of wildlife about as I saw many signs for nature walks to spot otters, seals, various birds, whales, and the like. Feb 9, 2008 - Santa Ana Elks

We're staying at the Santa Ana Elks lodge for about a week to catch up on family, doctor and dental appointments, truck repair, hair appointment, etc. This lodge is usually our third choice if Buena Park or Garden Grove Elks RV spaces are full, but it has GREAT lunch meals and friendly people.

Aug 26, 2007 - Count down!!!.....7 Days, 19 Hours, 58 Minutes

Leslie is at the dive center doing his last training to finish his open-water certification. All land and air arrangements have been made and confirmed. I finished most of the travel shopping yesterday but have to exchange one pair of pants for Leslie and do a few last minute things today. I can hear the calypso music already!
