Tom: We spent the day in the Avenue of Giants (Redwood State Park) w/ Mitch (My cousin) and his wife Susan. Redway California is in the heart of the Avenue of the Giants. It was cool and overcast much of the day but the roof went down on Susan's new VW convertible and the weather was soon forgotten with the awesome views and scenery. Day 213 Tuesday 11th November Redway CA pg 12 NF3 During the nite it started raining and it didn’t stop all day. It was hard driving for Steve, with wet roads, strong winds and very poor visibility, which was at times, anything from 200mts to ½ km. We left the State Park at Bandon this morning and headed south along highway 101. It didn’t seem long at all before we’d left Oregon and were following the Californian coast. Nov 19, 2007 - Heading South towards Sacramento
Monday November 19, 2007 After Grants Pass OR, we headed west towards the coast again and made our way to Crescent City CA where we had an uneventful... oh wait... incredibly stormy night with rain pelting the camper sideways and the wind rocking us back and forth at our beautiful seaside RV park on Highway 101 in Crescent City. Well, we really only came here for the electricity and laundry because it was high time we got some clean clothes.
