Spending time with friends is one of our favorite things to do and go places together makes the experience that much more fun. Ending up in the same RV Park in Perris, CA for a week together gave us the opportunity for some great visiting and a day of sight-seeing in downtown Los Angeles...and I mean RIGHT downtown. Jan 4, 2013 - A Wonderful Holiday Season

Treking through Arizona and the high desert of California, we arrived at Uncle Harry's in Fresno on December 11th for a short visit before flying home to Seattle on December 14th to spend Christmas with our family. Ordinarily we wouldn't have gone that early but it was our one chance to see our youngest granddaughter, Halle play basketball and we sure weren't disappointed! Aug 9, 2012 - Hot Greeting

We have arrived! Meadowbrook Senior RV Park is our home base until we head to Fernley, NV at the end of October. Getting here was a very quick trip across the country, and we were greeted with 109 degree, desert heat. Time to get that A/C unit cranking. It didn't see any action in Maine, but it will be called to duty here, that is for sure! Jan 21, 2010 - Some fun things and some answers

Driving between Perris and Lake Elsinore, CA one day we saw these rocks and just had to stop and see someone's creativity! How many of you would have seen an apple and a frog like this artist did? Jan 7, 2010 - Oh how we love the Beach (1st & 3rd grades)

Did you enjoy tasting the oranges and avocados? The avocado is a fruit, not a vegetable. Which one did you guess? The beaches in southern California this time of year are warm, beautiful and uncrowded. With temperatures in the 70's, spending a day at the beach is a delight. While many of the beaches are sandy, there are a few that are rocky and have headlands which is where the sea life lives. It is fun to gaze into the tide pools at low tide and see how many creatures you can identify. How many different kinds of sea life can you name that...

Jan 3, 2010 - The sites, sounds and tastes of California

Two of the things being harvested in California this time of year are avocados and oranges. We hope you enjoy the treats we sent you to taste. We toured an avocado packing plant and learned many interesting things about growing, harvesting and packing them. The picture you see of the white stump is the grower getting ready to graft a different variety of avocado on to a tree. They paint the stump white to keep it from getting "sun burned" while there are no branches and leaves to protect it. There are 21 varieties of avocados but the most...
