Dec 29, 2009 - Needles, California

Once again we find ourselves driving miles and miles through the desert; beautiful in its own stark way, but oh so desolate. We are almost to the Arizona border tonight in a little town called Needles and staying at the Elks Club and what a view from here. ... We can see the glow of lights in the distance of Las Vegas and closer the lights of Laughlin and Havasu City.Once again we find ourselves driving miles and miles through the desert; beautiful in its own stark way, but oh so desolate. We are almost to the Arizona border tonight in a little town called Needles and staying at the Elks Club and what a view from here. ... We can see the glow of lights in the distance of Las Vegas and closer the lights of Laughlin and Havasu City....
