Aug 21, 2010 - Malibu Beach...The final few days of this road trip :(

As the old saying goes..."All good things must come to an end". That's the bad news...The good news is that it ends in beautiful Malibu Beach! We arrived at Malibu Beach RV resort on Thursday in the early afternoon with plenty of time to set up and relaxingly enjoy the massive ocean views and the 74 degree temps. The resort was built in 1974, well before the advent of triple slideouts. Jan 17, 2009 - Road Trip- Malibu Beach !!!

Saturday Jan 17th Donna and I decided to take a road trip up Hwy 101 to 27 (Topanga Canyon) to Pacific Coast highway. The trip was 151 miles of beauty. We drove thru the Topanga Canyon, had to pull over a few times as the "locals" knew how to drive the curves and I had Donna asking me to be cautious and they didn't! We made it to the Malibu Beach area, the mountains gave way to the shiny blue water of the Pacific Ocean and the many surfer's pulled over to the side of the road along the coast enjoying the wet and moon created surf. Aug 23, 2008 - 4th Day in LA

Had a little lie in and got up at half 10. Had waffles for breakfast/lunch and then headed out to Malibu in the afternoon. Went for a swim and saw some dolphins while at the beach (Dume Bay). Headed off to Paradise Cove for some dinner in the evening.

Apr 20, 2008 - Malibu & LA, CA

We spent some time doing some touristy LA things while we made Malibu, CA our base. We drove Sunset Blvd from Malibu through Bel Aire, Beverly Hills and then on into Hollywood. We stopped to visit the Grauman’s Chinese Theater and then drove to see the Hollywood sign. To complete our visit we drove Mulholland Drive to see views of LA. (Lynne – do you remember the first time Heather told us about Mulholland?) We spent a day biking from Santa Monica to Venice Beach. Malibu, California

When we left San Diego, we were a bit sad. The marina we were staying at was such a relaxing place to have moments between our work. As we left San Diego headed north, the views, weather and the trip were marvelous. The view above just does not do justice to the experience we had arriving in Malibu.
