Dec 8, 2012 - Palm Springs !

Drove into Palm Springs today to a "Canadafest" at the Palm Springs Convention Centre. Went with Keith and Beverly. Not much there but we worked up a thirst so we headed to Old Town and had lunch and beers at the Village Pub. Saw the new 30 ft. Marilyn Munro statue. Worth a look !!!

Dec 6, 2012 - In Hemet !

Parked in our usual spot in Hemet (Golden Village Palm #327). Park rates have increased a bit but they have added beautiful pickle ball courts. Planning to stay here for a few days to hookup with friends and take a break. We don't check in to San Diego until Dec. 9 so we can enjoy a few days of sun here.

Mar 21, 2012 - Diamond Valley Lake

Our good friends from our RVing days - Ralph and Cheryl - arrived in town. It's very nice to see them again. We got together with Ralph & Cheryl, Tom & Donna and Paul & Mary to take a pontoon ride on a nearby lake - Diamond Valley. We had a great time just cruising around, stopping for lunch and just being with friends. It's awesome to ride along in 75 degree weather on a calm lake and look at distant snow-capped mountains.

Feb 14, 2012 - Hemet, CA

We have been here in Hemet, CA for 2 weeks now. The weather has been fantastic save for a couple of days here recently. Hemet sits in a valley surrounded by mountains. Geographically it appears we are sitting in a bowl. The town has everything you would need in the way of restaurants and shopping. So far, we like it very much. There is a small town park on top of a mountain where you can get fantastic views of the city and we have spotted snow-capped mountains along our travels. We have rented a park model which is a small mobile home...

Yep, Pat did some washing, clothes do get dirty. A person, like myself may think they are clean all the time, but some how my lovely wife, reminds me that my clothes have cats-up or mustard spilled on them, or maybe some refreshment or two. Feb 5, 2012 - SuperBowl party

whoo hoo, we finished our Super bowl in HEMET with a great bunch of people, the Canucks were OK too. Pretty chilly right now, it's 18c, need a jacket or something, IT'S WIERD!!. Lil Eli, "its been a wild game", never thought i would see a player try to SIT & Poop on the 1 yard line, to win the game. Pat finally met Henry and Pat, they are from Red Deer. Great food spread. Well Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter down here, DAMN. went golfing at Seven hills again, only got 9 holes in, 2.5hrs,I forgot to mention that they have very few if any toilets on the course and they all have concrete cart paths with curbs and are wide i got sun-burnt, ugh!!!! had all you can eat Fish, for $7.95, with NO FRENCH FRIES, IN THE CLUB HOUSE. We have arrived in Hemet, California and are staying at the Hampton Inn for tonight. Tomorrow we check into our home for the next 2 months. Made a dash for the warmer times( we were warned about the traffic if we left too late, Sacremento, Bakerfeild. HUH, i did not want to drive on the 3 or 4 lane highways. It was a short drive to Indio from Yuma on February 18. We stopped in El Centro to shop at Costco. We drove up the East side of the Salton Sea which is a quite large body of water in the desert, just about sea level. We stopped there to make our lunch. Bonjour à tous, Nous sommes au Golden Village RV park à Hemet depuis samedi, un immense camping qui ressemble plus à un Tout-Inclus comme les hotels dans le sud. Il fait très très chaud et le soleil est toujours au rendez-vous, donc 3 jours de baignade ,bronzage et putting, le soir un peu de spa, de pool et de promenade. Hemet est à 45 minutes de Palm Spring.
