Feb 2, 2014 - Superbowl was not a superbowl

missed a couple of pictures from our hike to Diamond Lake. We went to the museum at Diamond Lake where it explained how the lake was made the ancient bones that were discovered. It took several years to build the lake therefore there was limited time on the digs. You will all be happy to hear that it was cold enough to snow in the mountains here, we could actually see the snow. There was frost on the car. Superbowl party at the clubhouse here, its a potluck, byob and watch the game on a big screen TV.

February 1 - Saturday WE went to the Science Center Museum. It contained the Construction of the Diamond Valley Dam, and the Paleontology fossils that the found. Great exhibit and movies. A small area was dedicated to some of the old aviator equipment and planes. In the adjacent building there were displays of the water districts in Southern California, large impellers from pumps. Jan 29, 2014 - Hiking

Went for a drive to Diamond Valley Lake which is a man made lake about 4.5 miles long. It is 22.7 miles around the lake, about 40km. Needless to say we did not hike that far but did hike 4 miles about 6 km around the lake. We stopped and spoke to a guy on a mountain bike who advised us that rattlesnakes would be coming out in about a month. We enjoyed the hike without the snakes!!!!!! Enjoy the pictures!

A little cooler on Friday only 22C, good golf weather. The coots (mud hens) poop everywhere, don't clean your balls with your hands!! The smell can be quite awful. Woke up Saturday morning to the smell of grey water. totally awful. Took a trip to the farmers market, purchased fresh pita bread & homemade garlic & basil spread, yummy!!. Found a bridal museum, awesome clothing back to the 1850s, also found a pasta shop, home made pasta.

Jan 23 - Thursday Well, i had to tear the bed out of the motor-home, i could not stand it any longer. But everything was ok after i checked it out. we thought we dropped something on the floor(watch)and it could have slipped under the bed, as the bed is on a slide. Jan 22, 2014 - Wine Tasting

We are using our bike, just not very confident on the roads with all the traffic. Went on a wine tasting trip, only made it to two wineries before we had too much to drink. Good thing we had a designated driver. The wineries are only about 20 minutes from here and the are about 20 different wineries. We drove out into the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden winery after winery. We REALLY liked the second winery we went to all the wine tasting was free.

Jan 21, 2014 - Jan. 20, Mon.: Day 97

Jan. 20, 2014 - Day 97 So it is Mon. & a Happy Birthday to our niece Erica. Janet made a call to Bob's RV service dept. & yes they had the 30/20A breaker we needed. Got it & put it back in, then cranked on the A/C; yes after a time it blew the new breaker again; what to do, what to do. We called the RV store back & they couldn't come to the park today but they called a person that does work for them & John came out. He checked it out top to bottom & even checked all the wiring in the breaker box with no viable problems but his professional...

Jan 20, 2014 - Italian nite

18 Jan Had to do more grocery shopping so off to Walmart we went. $100 bux later, got food and a new vaccum for motorhome, vaccum was only $38 bux, good buy but then had to vaccum, lol. The drudgery of housework or should I say motorhome work. Life in an RV park is ruff and tuff. Had to the go for a swim to refresh and rejuvenate. Later we went to an Italian food nite in the clubhouse. It was a pot luck dinner and of course there was way too much food but it was soooooo good. I've never been to a potluck where you had to also bring your own...
