Jul 28, 2012 - Home Is Where The Heart Is
After leaving the Black Hills of South Dakota, our next stop was the town of Casper, Wyoming (note to our RV friends…don’t stay at the KOA in Casper). Casper is the second-largest city in Wyoming (only Cheyenne, the state capital, is larger), Casper is nicknamed "The Oil City" and has a long history of oil boomtown and cowboy culture, dating back to development of the nearby oil fields. The city was established east of the former site of Fort Caspar, which was built during the mid-19th century mass migration of land seekers along the...

We slept at Kiera's house last night so when i woke up, i woke her up coz she asked for me to. We went downstairs to eat a filipino breakfast that her grandma made. We started to get ready to go their community pool. Mikko went with his mom to go buy a toy. The pool was big. we bought toys and we were splashing each other. Jun 23, 2011 - Family Time
Greetings! We are still tying up a few loose ends from the house sale and are enjoying time with family and friends while in the area. In addition, we are gearing up for an extended trip to Oregon and Washington. On June 10, Dennis and I drove with my parents to Tempe, Arizona to enjoy our niece (my parents granddaughter), Claire's final performance at Camp Broadway, a musical theater camp that she has attended for 8 years. She has become an amazing performer over the years in addition to being a wonderful human being. We are so proud of...

Jun 6, 2011 - Homeless at last!!
Even though we have been hanging in the area since Easter, it was well worth it! We had put our condo up for sale and once our tenants had moved out, Dennis and I went into action and spent a week working on cleaning up the place. We spent a minimum of 8 hours a day, including a couple of 10-12 hour days but it all paid off. About 5 days into our frenetic cleaning we had an offer, we countered and it went into escrow within 2 days. The transaction closed and we officially are "homeless veterans" as of June 1st. The young man who bought it...

Jul 2, 2010 - Fun Back at Home....
As you know by our last entry, we traveled back to Covina to be with my mom after her fall on the 13th of June. She is home now and progressing in her recuperation. She is receiving physical therapy 3 times a week and I am taking her out today for a nail appointment and some lunch. She is still in a lot of pain but is working through it, thanks for all your kind thoughts and notes. Dennis and I are staying at a KOA nearby...for those of you familiar with the area, we are staying at the Fairplex KOA and are planning on being there for a...

Jun 14, 2010 - Our GPS told us...make a U-Turn, when safe, and take the 101 Freeway South for 516 miles
Well, I bet you didn't expect to see our map location as Covina, did you?? We had a phone call Sunday morning from my dad and when it starts out "Your mom is fine but...." our heart rates doubled within seconds. We had set up in Fortuna, California the night before and I had cooked a meal in the RV. We had plans to visit numerous spots in the area but aren't we lucky that we have the ability to be anywhere, anytime so we took off Sunday morning around 10 a.m. and headed back to our home base, Covina, California. 19 hours later we arrived in...

Jun 4, 2010 - On the road again...
Hello to all...as you know, Dennis and I retired in 2007 and traveled to Key West, Florida on our "Free at last" trip. We were blessed in May of 2008 with the birth of our first granddaughter, Kaia, on May 28th and have spent the last 2 years getting to know her. We are now back on the road and are starting our first extended trip in 2 years. We are on a 2 1/2 month trip up the western coast and then heading east to South Dakota for a Foss Family Reunion in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the end of July. Along the way we are visiting friends...
