Today was our last day at Disneyland. We packed the room and left our 10 bags with the hotel in storage so we could explore the park one last time. The kids were sad because we told them that it was the last time we would be going as a family, ever. Apr 4, 2013 - Day off in Anaheim

A quiet day today as no one wanted to go on a tour?! So we stayed around the pool, did some washing and shopping. A slower day to re charge the batteries in preparation for the week ahead. Dinner at downtown Disney and a nice walk home enjoying the beautiful weather. Amanda and Tony xx

Apr 3, 2013 - Disneyland

We started the day early, woken by the alarm so we could get to Disneyland early. The new cars ride is attracting such attention that the fast passes were allocated for the day and night in one hour. What this means is Tony left super early to line up at the gates for 7am. We were allowed into the park at 8 am and once they opened the gates, Tony ran straight to the Fast Pass queue where he had to wait another half hour to get a Fast Pass. Apr 1, 2013 - Day off in Anaheim

Today we needed a rest! Our feet are sore and we are tired from travelling round the country. We all slept in really late and went out for a nice breakfast. We did some much needed washing, swimming in the pool, played in the arcade and read a book. For dinner we headed to Downtown Disney for a Mexican Dinner and Georgia discovered the make up shop Sephora where much to Tony's horror, she had her make up done. Jan 11, 2013 - Knotts Berry Farm trip

We are staying tonight and tomorrow night at Anaheim RV Resort and going to Knott's with Mycah, Kyle, Zayne Zoey and Lili. This RV Resort is very clean and in good shape. We are in a premium pull through site, fairly easy to get into, but not real wide. A couple of back in spots look a lot wider. Freeway is noisy, but not a big deal for what we are doing. We just want a place to sleep and eat while we go to Knott's. Sure is a lot nicer than a motel. We hung out in the heated spa and pool. Pool are was small, but nice. Got to get some rest,...

Jan 8, 2013 - Preparing to Go

Tonight I am packing for the trip to Armenia. It is my first time to that part of the world. Am very excited. This will be one of those amazing trips where my time is mostly spent with people instead of site-seeing. While I've been known to climb the Leaning Tower, walk along the Great Wall, and stick my toes in the Nile, I think the best international experiences are the ones that allow you to leave behind new friends. Dec 11, 2012 - Venice Beach

Left Anaheim today for our trip to Venice Beach. Our driver told us that our hotel was in a great location - right in the heart of everything. Our hotel is definitely right in the heart of everything - the homeless, the drug affected and the just plain weird. Not wanting to judge people, but this would have to be the most uncomfortable I have ever felt in my life. It certainly is an eye opener. Dec 10, 2012 - Day of Leisure

Today was a long sleep in followed by a visit to the medical centre for Stu and Max (throat infections). Would hate to be really sick here. This took a long time and was very expensive! The rest of the afternoon was spent at Orange County Outlets where we did a little bit of shopping. We then heading back to Disney at about 6pm for our last farewell. We are all feeling sad to leave but looking forward to the next part of our adventure.

Dec 9, 2012 - Disney's California Adventure Park

Another early start today at Disney's California Adventure Park. We were there for opening at 8am and this park did not disappoint. The day was full of fantastic surprises. Some highlights today in the rides were: the newly opened Carsland and the Radiator Springs Racers; the California Screamin' roller coaster; the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror; the Grizzly River Run (where we all got wet); and the amazing Soarin' Over California which was like a virtual hang gliding experience. Dec 8, 2012 - Magic Morning At Disneyland

An early start this morning was well worth it for a very different Disney experience. We entered the park at 7am and for the next 4 hours went on so many rides without a queue. It was fantastic - when we finished on Splash Mountain, we didn't even line up again, and just got to go straight through to another ride without leaving the boat (except for Max who changed seating positions from the front because he was absolutely soaked). Dec 7, 2012 - The Happiest Place On Earth

The 7th December 2012 was such a great date, we had it twice.It was a bizarre feeling to land in LA (according to date and time) before we left Sydney!!The flight was long, and not a lot of sleeping took place. Fortunately everyone was kept well entertained. We did however all fall asleep in the car on the transfer from LAX airport to our hotel in Anaheim (about a 40 minute drive). Hi everyone and welcome to our travel blog. We have been here for 5 days already. It has been hugely hot- around 39 degrees celcius for several days. We have spent two days so far at Disneyland/California Park and today we went to Universal Studios. Tomorrow sees the last day at Disneyland before heading off to Las Vegas on Friday.
