Dec 31, 2010 - Closing out 2010

As this is being written our beloved Razorbacks have just beat up on LSU (the #5 team in the nation) by a final score of 31-23. We always enjoy football season when the Hogs are winning! And having a 10 win season is really good in the SEC. So now we wait to see which bowl game we get, and speculation is high for getting a bid to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Will we go? Nope. The season began the week before we got there down in Little Rock where the...

Apr 7, 2009 - A Wedding in Arkansas

When we departed south Texas we headed back to Arkansas to attend the wedding of our niece, Kristin Freeman, to Jason Wood. We arrived in Sheridan on March 18 and parked in Pam and Danny’s driveway next to their motor home. Pam is Alice Faye’s sister. The wedding was not until April 4, so we wanted to be there to help them get ready in any way that we could. We could not have arrived back in Arkansas at a better time. Springtime is a very pretty time in Arkansas. The dogwood, azaleas, forsythia, wisteria, and other spring flowers were...
