Aug 4, 2007 - Russellville, AR
Here we are back in Russellville. This hotel is a surprise. It's quite nice. I'll post some photo's. Easy drive over today. Only surprise is the temperature. At one point it was 101 outside. Much dryer humidity than Memphis though, but at that temperature, it's still hot. We stopped in Blackwell and Bill got some sort of Strawberry Margarita type coolers. It is a flavored malt liquer. Not bad but sweet. You can't buy any alcohol in Pope county, so this was his answer to having a coctail. We got together with Bills Cousin and friend and we...Jump to full entry

Oct 30, 2006 - Branson and Russellville
October 19-21: We are on the road again going up to Fayetteville to our RoadHog RV Park to join with our friends in "calling those Hogs." The game is not until Saturday, so we will have a couple of days to catch up with the goings-on amongst these folks. The park was already more than half full when we arrived, as many have left their Rvs up here all season since there are five games scheduled here for the season. We missed the first three, and will get to see the Old Miss game this week and the Tennessee game in a couple of weeks. We were...Jump to full entry
Oct 18, 2006 - After Oklahoma City
We stayed overnight in Lake Dardanelle State Park. We were able to watch a beautiful sunset, but awoke to a blanket of fog. This was just an overnite stop, so we didn't get to enjoy the park. From there we drove to Little Rock to visit President Clinton. His museum is all glass and although we enjoyed going through it, I didn't feel it was as impressive as Ronald Reagan's. We were surprised to learn that the Clintons have a penthouse apartment above the museum. We were told that Hillary is rarely there, but President Clinton oftn is and...Jump to full entry
Oct 18, 2006 - Travel Day
Today was a travel day. It was a gray, rainy day until afternoon. Then the sun came out - always on my side so I felt like I was cooking. We got off for the night into an ex-Walmart parking lot ( it must have moved to a bigger location because there isn't usually and EX-Walmart). Sometime during our travel today some 'crap' got kicked up onto the motorhome and big time on the car. We've already tried a car wash but this stuff is sticking like glue. We're not sure how we're going to fix this one -we need to talk to an auto expert and maybe...Jump to full entry
Apr 11, 2006 - Oklahoma is BORING!!!!!!
Driving across Oklahoma is very BORING, nothing to see and the wind has been blowing very hard the whole trip. A cross wind blowing against the motorhome, causes it to move around and make it hard to trip. I had about 300 miles of dealing with high winds. We decided to stay in a Walmart Supercenter parking lot tonight. We drove about 400 miles today and needed to go to Walmart anyway, so we just decided to stay there. Another motorhome pulled in behind us later that night. Many people, when traveling across country will stop at Walmart and...Jump to full entry
Apr 3, 2006 - We're here at last!
We made it to Russellville this afternoon, and are all hooked up and settled in. We'll start taking photo's tomorrow. Right now, we're going to sit down and rest a while. The weather is beautiful today. I don't have any photo's of Russellville to share, but I do have some grand dog photo's to share. Our son says Mia needs an agent. We agree. Ham is what she is. She keeps us laughing for sure.Jump to full entry
