Jun 26, 2014 - Decorating the church
I slept in a little bit this morning. I didn't get up until 7:45am. I guess I knew I had a lot to do today, so my body said "GET UP"!!!!! I had a little breakfast and made the bed and showered and dressed for the day. Jackie walked his 10 + miles before I even opened my eyes. I did a couple of loads of laundry and we left for town. We stopped by the church in Dardanelle and Cendyl, Sara, Lisa, Gina, Mamie, and Sharon were hard at work on the sanctuary decorations. It is going to be so beautiful. I didn't do much except show Jackie "THE...Jump to full entry
Jun 25, 2014 - Another busy day
Now listen up folks.....This morning I got up at 5:30am!!!!! No I wasn't sick....but I had to be at the dentist's office at 7:00 for my semi-annual check-up and cleaning. That was the only time they could get me in this week while we are in Russellville. I made it but the world sure looks different at that time of the morning. While I was in town, Jackie was walking his 10 miles here in the park. If you look on his Facebook page it looks like he was walking on water part of the way, but he wasn't.....there is actually a jetty out into the...Jump to full entry
Jun 24, 2014 - Very Busy
Jackie slept in this morning.....until about 7:00am. I got up about 8:00. That's early for me. We had to make a trip to the Apple Store in Little Rock today to get Jackie's phone replaced that he just got in January. He noticed last week he wasn't receiving all his texts and calls. He took it to the AT&T store in Branson to see if they knew what was going on. They told him the silent/ringer button had a short in it that was silencing the phone at random times. Therefore he didn't know he was getting calls unless he had the phone in his hand...Jump to full entry
Jun 23, 2014 - It's summer???
I know....it's been 2 months since I last posted. Wish I had a better reason for letting so much time go by, but I have "just not felt like writing". We have been as busy as ever. We play games at the Lodge at leasolidst 3 or 4 times a week. We eat out at our favorite places at least 4 or 5 times a week. We even made a trip to Springfield a couple of weeks ago just to eat at Cheddars. I finally broke down and went shopping for wedding clothes. It took two trips, but Jackie and I are both ready in the clothing department. We drove down from...Jump to full entry
Oct 29, 2013 - Quincy, FL
Just a quick post while the generator is running. This morning we had a traveling breakfast of a bowl of cereal. We made the bed and got things stowed away for travel. We pulled out of Camp Wally World at 8:30am. I drove us across the rest of Mississippi and into Alabama. We went through the tunnel at Mobile at 1:00pm. As soon as we entered Florida we stopped at the rest area/welcome center for lunch. I was fixing us a sandwich and Jackie was going out to check on the car. I heard a kind of thump and noticed the door was swinging open. I...Jump to full entry
Oct 28, 2013 - Jackson, MS
I woke up at 7:15 this morning and Jackie was already up and having breakfast. I reluctantly got up and made the bed and got busy. At 8:15 we were pulling out of our site. We hooked up the car and left the park. We stopped at Flying J and fueled up the coach at $2.99 per gallon. Only $120.00 to fill up the tank. At 9:30 we were pulling onto the interstate. We had a little delay in North Little Rock as we were merging onto I30. Traffic was at a standstill and it took several minutes to clear out. No other problems though for the day. We...Jump to full entry
Oct 27, 2013 - Florida, here we come...
Just a quick note to let you all know we are leaving in the morning. Can't wait to see some warm weather. We had a nice day today starting with church this morning. After church we met Jackie's sister Sherry and her husband Ray at Cracker Barrel for lunch. His sister-in-law Wilma, and her daughter and son-in-law also joined us. We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful visit too. Then we made a quick trip by the cemetery where Jackie's parents and brother are buried. We didn't make it down for decoration this year so we brought flowers this...Jump to full entry
Oct 25, 2013 - Family visits...
Jackie and I both slept in this morning. We knew the temperature was in the 30's because our furnace came on. The heat pumps keep us warm and toasty inside the coach, but if the outside temp reaches the 30's, the propane furnace comes on and warms the basement of the coach to keep the plumbing from freezing. I looked and the temperature was 37 degrees, and that was at 9:15am, so I'm sure it was colder than that earlier. We had breakfast and Jackie bundled up and left for his walk. I hope he doesn't catch a cold by getting out in these cold...Jump to full entry
Oct 24, 2013 - Tests are finished !!!!!
Tuesday morning I slept as long as I could so I wouldn't know I was hungry. I was on clear liquids all day with nothing at all after midnight. Plus I had to drink 64 oz. of nasty in a two hour period between 5:00 and 7:00pm. It was pretty yucky. I didn't do anything all day except a couple of loads of laundry and played games on the computer. I went to bed early as I had to get up at 6:00am and be at the hospital at 8:00. Wednesday morning we arrived at the hospital on time and was sent to the second floor for my test. By 8:45, I was in a...Jump to full entry
Oct 21, 2013 - One test down...One to go...
This morning started entirely too early for me. I had the alarm set for 6:00am as I was supposed to be at the hospital at 8:00. I hit the snooze button once and then finally rolled out of bed. I sure didn't want to though. After a nice long shower I was more awake. We arrived at the hospital on time, and I was registered and waiting by 8:10. At 9:00 I was still waiting, so I went back to the desk to see if I had missed hearing my name called. They said one of the radiology techs had went home with strep throat and they were running behind....Jump to full entry
Oct 20, 2013 - What a MOON...
Did any of you see the harvest moon last night? Oh my gosh, it was huge and so bright. This morning was pretty cold here. We got up at 7:00am and it was 37 degrees. But by the time we were ready to leave for church it was up to 53. We attended church at Atkins Free Will Baptist Church. Jackie's sister and her husband attend there, so we decided to visit. We saw several people we knew. It was a very emotional service that we enjoyed. After church we met Sharon, Kyle, and Megan at Western Sizzlin for lunch. We also saw several people there...Jump to full entry
Oct 19, 2013 - Russellville, AR
Day 68-70 - Russellville, AR 10/19-21/2013 We found out last night that we cannot live without the converter, therefore, we stopped at Camping World on our way in and got a new one. They were really good in Lowell AR store. They took us right in and we were out in 2 hours and on our way. Great service! We arrived in Russellville with no problems. On Sunday we took a ride with Ruth & Henry to see if AR had turned colors yet. We saw some, but not as many as we would have liked. But we did enjoy the day. We spent the rest of the time visiting...Jump to full entry
