May 31, 2012 - Company's Comin'! ***Remington Gun Club, Lonoke, AR

Company's coming! Hurray! Trisha, our daughter, and her two sons, our oldest grandsons, Brady and Tanner, are with us tonight. We left North Little Rock this morning, driving a whopping 15 miles east to Lonoke, Arkansas. There is a huge Remington gun/ammo plant just a mile from here. There is a gun club located on their property. The gun club also has hooks--electric and water--for rvs. We are parked here at no charge. The State-level clay pigeon shooting competition starts tomorrow. Brady, as a first year shooter and his team (all 3-year...

Dec 9, 2010 - Back on the Road

We got back on the road today, bound for Colville, Washington to spend Christmas with our son Brian, his wife Heather, & the grandkids that they have provided us, Micah, Joelle, & IsabelKate. Our other son Kevin will be joining us there for a few days with the grandkids that he has provided us, Cameron & Tori. After taking care of some personal business this morning, we finally got on the road late morning & made 350 miles to the WalMart in Lonoke, Arkansas. Apr 26, 2009 - Day Deux

Hello again! I LOVE road trips! People should road trip all the time! Fine, so the part where you're actually on the road isn't much fun. However, being somewhere new every few hours is really rather cool. Wolfgang Urs Schaudi and I sang our way through the better part of The Essential Michael Jackson across most of Tennessee, as well as some slower, bluesier numbers as we approached Memphis (in keeping with its history).
