Oct 23, 2008 - Home, sweet home

What an extraordinary journey! Six months of doing whatever we wanted to do whenever we wanted to do it. It was a really wonderful sabbatical with family, friends, ourselves, and nature. Six months of total freedom. Coming home is nice. It feels good to be home with our family here. Our home is like an old friend welcoming us and cocooning us in it's comfort. We are ready, though, to take to the road again whenever the oportunity presents itself.

May 1, 2008 - Road Trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the big day! We headed out from the Air Base where we stayed for the last two nights while we closed up the house. We took I-40 from LR to El Reno, Oklahoma, about an hour west of Oklahoma City. It was REALLY WINDY on the drive across Oklahoma. This was the longest drive day that we have scheduled this trip so we got to our site about 1700. Once we had everything set up we went up to the Cherokee Trading Post Restaurant to have dinner.
