May 18, 2012 - Pendleton park 5-17-12

We had some Trouble with our Cor of Engineer directions via our book. Apparently it is printed from a non affiliated publisher. Tel.# were wrong so made reservation at wrong place. So arrived later than p,aanned. Pretty park. But only 4 others I. Park. That was a little freaky. Only stayed one night. Headed out for mountain view. We chose to use major highways for most of our trip.

Apr 26, 2011 - A Visit To 4 Arkansas Towns

From Washington County Convention Center RV Park – Greenville, MS On this journey we will be jumping back and forth across this river we are following and exploring. Our present location in Greenville is about 12 miles from the bridge crossing into the state of Arkansas so today we “jumped” the river to check out a few of the small towns shown on our GRR map………Lake Village, McGehee, Arkansas City & Dumas. We decided to drive to the farthest town first and work our way back to Greenville….this decision was partially due to the severe weather...

Home Sweet RV - 2011

May 12, 2010 - Catching up from AR

5/9/10, Sunday Marksville, LA to Dumas, AR Pendleton Bend Corps of Engineers Campground We left the campground in Marksville, LA under sunny skies about 8:00 AM and began our travels north toward Arkansas. I’m surprised at the size of the farm fields in Louisiana….acres and acres of corn, soybean, and we even see flooded rice fields. Looks like most of these farms are owned by one big corporation and the little guys got pushed out. But, for the most part, Louisiana is proud of herself and the areas are clean and neat with wild daisies...
