May 4, 2011 - Horseback Trip at Granny Gap National Park

We had a great ride today. Debbie Smith picked us up since we needed three horses for Carla, Ian and me. We went 3.25 miles and it was awesome. We are leaving tomorrow because Dave got a call that he has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. He was originally scheduled for the 12 and I am so glad they got him in a week early because he's in a lot of pain. Ian got to ride Q all by himself and actually got his horse to break trail when all of our horses froze and refused to go the route we wanted them to go.

Carla wanted to try Prince out riding double plus she only has a two horse trailer so she wanted to see how he handled it for the trail ride tomorrow which we will have to drive to. Ian hated riding double so we went back and got Q. He absolutely loved the ride so Carla called Debbie to see if she could pick us up for the ride so Ian would enjoy it too. She said she would. Ian absolutely loved riding when he had his own horse. He went from constantly complaining to having a huge smile on his face. He loves loves horseback riding. It is so...

We also got the generator running but I don't want to hook it up yet since it is still raining outside. We're planning to go bike riding tomorrow if the weather clears. Ian likes the horses but we haven't been able to ride with the rain. Rain rain go away and come back some other day. We're so tired of the rain and we've only been in it two days. Dave and Carla said it's been raining for 2 weeks straight. Oh...

May 1, 2011 - Day 1 at Carla's

We got here late last night. We went to church with Carla. They attend the Fellowship of Christians. Ian really enjoyed the kids service. He, verbatim, told us the story of the woman with the issue of blood and the little girl Christ raised from the dead. I was really impressed with how accurate his description was. He didn't leave one thing out and was right on target. I went up at the end of service and asked them to pray for Ian and me to be sensitive to God's direction of where he wanted us and what he wanted us to do. They suggested I...
