The Corps of Engineers campground we stayed at with our family hosts Glenda's brother and his wife) was a beautiful, quiet place, where nobody bothers you, everybody knows each other, you can see all the stars at night, and cheap (with senior half-price discount, $7 per night). The next day we had a choice of going over a big mountain in the Ouachita National Forest, or go around the mountain down Rt. 69 and the Indian Nation Parkway, then across miles of two lane rural roads. Since the motor home doesn’t do mountains very well (think real slow) we went the easy, but less scenic way. We were surprised how big Lake Eufala is when we saw or crossed parts of it for miles and miles driving down Rt. 69.
