Jan 2, 2010 - HAPPY NEW YEAR

I for one am glad to see another year. Last year was filled with death and saddness most of the time we just got back from Osage IA attending Aunt Ella's funeral this is the 32 death this last year among family and friends and that takes a toll we attended 3 funerals one week and now I sit here wondering who is next and that is terrible. On a happier note the weather was great we spent the night in Des Moines IA and God was looking out for us because the next morning cold 2 above zero but the first 30 miles the ditches looked like parking...

Dec 23, 2009 - The end of 2009

Where or where do these years go each one seems to go faster and faster. I have been working for a year now at the local hospital in the women's and pediatric unit. Enjoy being with my church family in fact since Easter this year have been cooking breakfast for the early morning service. Get off work at 7:15 am and go to church and cook for 75-100 people. This has been a challenge at times. well the house has been decorated and ready for Christmas with a family that travels all over the place it is hard to get them all in one place.Arron...

Oct 25, 2009 - Canton, Texas State Samboree

There is nothing more fun than to meet with a bunch of people with the same interests and have a great time playing games. I attended a workshop and had to come home and try what I was told and low and behold it worked: for you travelers that get those nice big juicy bugs on the front of the motor home and campers try this: 2 Tablespoons dishwasher soap in a spray bottle spray those terrible spots and wait a minute and they wash off with ease. I had so many I took a 1/4 in a 5 qt. ice cream pail and put on with a rag and waited and away...

Sep 24, 2009 - Minnesota

It was raining along a nice gentle rain as I left Mt. Pleasant, Tx and drove north and this continued most of the day when the fog set in and it was impossible to see the road so checking into the hotel was the only sensible thing to do. I had planned on spending the night in Kansas City with my cousins but I was unable to drive the added distance. The next morning I started driving north again in the rain, fog and wind. Finally south of Kansas City ran out of the fog and rain it was not sunny but overcast. Arrived in Pine Island, MN at 9...

Jul 1, 2009 - Home again

Well after spending a few days in MN in the cool weather in the 50's and 70's I was ready for some good warm weather so that I did not have to shiver or use a coat. The day of the funeral Monday June 29th was a nice day windy and cool but now rain although the sky was cloudy most of the day with the sun peeking though only once in awhile. Unfortunately got to visit and see cousins that I had not seen in years had never met one of the cousin's husband and they have a 13 year old daughter that is typical teen only she can sing and did so at...

Jun 26, 2009 - Minnesota bound

Well those dreaded happening when you are dedicated to family a funeral. My Aunt Virginia Derby passed away and so in my car at 2:15 am and away to MN stopped in Kansas City and visited with a dear cousin for a couple of hours and then on down the road arrived at my nephews about 9 pm sat around the bonfire and talked for a little while before going to bed very tired. The trip was flawless I wondered what might happen since I have a bulging disc in my back and have been going to therapy for about 2 weeks 3 times a week. But no pain so that...

Jun 4, 2009 - San Angelo TX and Grandson's 8th grade graduation

Dear Traveling friends and family, It has been a busy summer so far: got the swimming pool open, planted a garden and flowers, mowing lawn, cleaning up the big rig and getting ready for a busy summer. I did take time again to go to San Angelo, TX to meet with a nurse friend Carol from Ketchikan, Alaska as she came to watch her Grandson Aaron graduate from High school and that was a real celebration since just before Christmas last year he was in a terrible car accident with his grandparents and cousins of which both of his grandparents over...

Apr 15, 2009 - Bradley, AR

What a beautiful day the sun was shining brightly and I had the itch to see my grandchildren in AR so away I went found them busy as beavers: Dylan playing ball of which Grandma got to take in the first I have seen him play. Nolan is such a good boy and so attentive to his sister and always says I not the baby no more he just turned 11. Kaelah was in the porch swing when I first got there and does she ever enjoy that. Wesley was swining her and she was just laughing and smiling. We all got to go to the ball game Kaelah really enjoyed...

Sep 30, 2008 - Bradley AR

BRADLEY ARKANSAS AND THE VISIT WITH MY NEARLY 4 MONTH OLD GRANDAUGHTER, SON WESLEY AND WENDY, NOLAN AND DYLAN IT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO SEE HOW MUCH KAELAH HAD CHANGED TO SMILING AND SITTING A FEW SECONDS WITHOUT FALLING OVER. THE WEATHER IS NICE HERE IN THE 80'S IN THE AFTERNOON AND 50'S AT NIGHT. I WAS NOT HOME BUT ABOUT TWO HOURS WHEN THE LOCAL HOSPITAL WAS CALLING WANTING TO KNOW IF AND WHEN I COULD WORK. I BELIEVE THEY CAN SMELL ME WHEN I HIT THE CITY LIMITS OR ELSE THEY SEE THE BIG RIG COMING INTO TOWN. WHAT A GREAT ADVENTURE TO THE NE...
