Sep 2, 2005 - Grand Canyon and the Four Corners

We spent one night at the Grand Canyon, affectionately referring to it as "the big hole." It is really, really big...and deep. The size almost made it seem unreal. A plane ride helped us to take it in as there is no easy hike in the Grand Canyon. Being one of the Seven Wonders of the World makes it a popular tourist destination. Again, we found ourselves surrounded by many languages. It was worth seeing, but we agreed the size made it difficult to interact with the land in the way we were able to do at Zion.
