Jan 14, 2018 - Cocopah Casino Resort

Driving into the sunrise and a great day it was. We left Apache Junction and friends to go to Somerton(Yuma suburb) to meet more old friends. For those that may know her(Lorraine) our old park manager it was two days of laughs, wobbly pops, wine, rum, vodka and various other sundry concoctions. RV parking at the casino was excellent, large level paved lots at 5$ a day. Security/ shuttle service all provided. Only black mark would be their food. It was by far the worst we have seen at all the casinos we have visited. Weather continues nice...

Dec 2, 2017 - Cocopah Speedway - Somerton AZ

Last day here in this end of town and it ended with going to the Final race of the 2017 season at Cocopah Speedway. Got there early so we could find our way around before dark grabbed their Hot Dog Combos for dinner and prepared for a chilly evening in the desert. In preparation we brought our fleece hoodies and seat cushions and we were set. Under a huge full moon we watched 3 hours of thunderous racing cars going round and round on an oval dirt track. Nov 30, 2017 - San Luis & Somerton

10 miles south of Yuma sits the border town of San Luis, a v e r y busy border crossing that sees thousands of Mexican's cross this border daily to pick the lettuce that we eat daily back in the cold north. I had hoped to upload our road trip from our highway cam today but it did not record for some reason. Oh well another reason to go back down there,stay tuned there should be a video to come. On the way we stopped in at Somerton another community between Yuma and San Luis. We stopped at the Cocopah casino for lunch and left a few dollars...
