Jul 9, 2018 - Mund Park AZ

Munds Park Day 44—Monday July 9, 2018 We departed Meteor Crater at 10:05 am heading to our final destination at Munds Park. Going 56 miles, we arrived at 11:30 am, checked in, then had to wait about 30 minutes until our site was vacated. This is the site we had last year (and will have again next summer). Day 45—Tuesday July 10, 2018 We drove home to Mesa without the trailer. Brian had some medical appointments and we did some shopping. Day 47—Thursday July 12, 2018 We drove back to the trailer in Munds Park. We’ll be here until September...

May 27, 2015 - Day 4 May 27, 2014 Kingman to Munds RV Park, south of Flagstaff

Day 4 May 27, 2015: Kingman to Munds Park, South of Flagstaff AZ. We were well rested for our journey today. The RV Park we stayed in last night wasn’t anything to rave about, but he gave us a $7 discount for me being a Vietnam Vet, as was he. We got out of town at 9:10AM after shopping at Walmart and getting gas at $2.87 a gallon. This part of Arizona actually had more to look at while driving, with trees, mountains with snow and the chance to see an elk or two, but didn’t. The wind was blowing a bit and I noticed that one side of my...

Oct 5, 2009 - To Munds Park, Arizona

Today we had a relatively short drive, so we didn’t leave until around 10:00. We made only one rest stop. Before going to our campsites, we both bought propane. My supply was getting very low. After we had gotten set up, we went to visit the Meteor Crater, which is 35 miles east of Flagstaff. Even though it is not the largest crater in the world, it still is very impressive. It is 550 feet deep (equivalent to a 60-story building), 4,000 feet across and 2.4 miles in circumference. What sets it apart from the others is that it is in much...
