Feb 25, 2011 - Not the best of days

The 25th worked out not to be the best of days, got a late start, due to not being sure which direction to head. All of the stopping points we had in mind were full or more than we were willing to pay. Kelly battled winds most of the way. Ah, the Mojave Desert. A great thing about the wind and sun is that California is taking advantage of the energy by placing solar plants in the desert and a huge wind farm on the pass just east of Bakersfield.
