Moved to North Ranch RV at Congress. Went into Wickenburg for supper and had bland Mexican food. Mar.5-took Hwy. 89 to Yarnell-(9miles)Higher up in the hills which consisted of huge boulders. Went to see the Shrine of St. Joseph depicting the 14 stations of the cross. The shrine was built in 1939 as a way to remember that our only road to peace is the Prince of peace. It consists of shrines built into the rock with pathway. At one time religious retreats were held there. Sad to say in the summer of 2013 a forest fire destroyed some of those...

Jan 20, 2008 - Home at North Ranch

Here we are back HOME at the RANCH!!! What a GREAT trip. The weather was excellent the entire trip, except for the first 2 hours after we departed Mission. COLD mornings, but it warmed up good during the day and NO WINDS!!!! 436 miles the first day, 406 the second day and 440 yesterday. 1282 miles total. The trip was nice and easy, but we were both HAPPY to be back at this lovely spot in the desert. Our SUPER friends and neighbors, Paul and Nancy Wilson were here to welcome us !!! What neat people!! We made it to the Dreamcatcher RV Park...

Mike & Pats Travels

Dec 26, 2007 - Prescott Valley, AZ to Congress, AZ

(Ron Writing) This morning we loaded all our stuff (that could possibly freeze) from my sister's house back into Da Honu and headed south. After stops at Costco and Wal Mart in Prescott we continued about 50 miles south and 2,000 feet lower to Congress, AZ where we are staying in the Escapees "North Ranch" RV Park. We arrived mid afternoon and spent a couple hours getting things organized inside the house and also de-winterizing the plumbing system. Everything seems to have survived the cold weather in Prescott Valley. Now we hope things...
