Drove to Chino Valley with Emily and Mike to meet up with one of our friends from UNCW, Jann and her husband David. They took us to Prescott to a cool place called Palace Saloon. Oh my goodness it looked just like a saloon from the old cowboy movies. I looked for Miss Kitty and Matt Dillon to walk through the swinging saloon bar doors..They had a Saddles and guns in a glass cases and there Was a picture of Steve McQueen with guns drawn covering one whole wall. He filmed some old cowboy movie there. The waitresses had on black lace corsets...

Jul 25, 2008 - Chino Valley

Friday July 25th we called our former neighbors, Rick and Marti Everett, who have lived in Chino since May of 2007. They have been asking us to visit them at their new house for such a long time and we decided to take them up on the offer. They have also been bragging about a Friday fish fry near their home. Chino Valley only has three stop lights. Turn west at the second light and go west about 2 miles and you will turn North on Reed Rd and then you will be in their neighborhood. Jul 9, 2008 - Helen's Place

July 9 2008- Today we went to visit our friend Helen Long in Chino Valley. She and her son Robby have built a huge shop, tack room and fenced in the entire 2 1/2 acres. They have 4 house dogs, 3 parakeets, 1 parrot that talks, 3 mules, a bantam rooster and some hunting dogs. Robby has a hunting guide business and has several mounted animals in the living room.
