Feb 20, 2010 - A must see.....

It has been a wonderful week, filled with awesome scenery and adventures. I am going to keep this short, especially because of the lack of comments and/or emails. We have really enjoyed our time in Az and will be traveling to Nevada on Monday...enjoy the pics, they really don't do justice to the area. God Bless...

Greetings to all from Black Canyon City, KOA, Arizona. After a few snafu's along the way...we put in to this rv park 2 nights ago. We cannot say enough about the owners here...they are absolutely some of the most awesome people we have met. Long story short...they went the extra mile to fit us in. We thought we had a place in Fountain Hills,Az for approx a wk or two and it fell through. Feb in Az is very full with Snowbirds...lucky to find 1 night in a park (for a big rig). We were able to fit in here until Tues, and hopefully they will...

Apr 3, 2009 - Aqua Fria National Monument & Cleator Ghost Town

April 3 through 6 I stayed at Aqua Fria National Monument, which is just BLM land set aside to preserve an example of high desert, and dry camped (no hook ups) for four nights. They allow free camping for 14 days, and there were plenty of flat places to park. Friday, April 3, 2009 - Last night it was cold, at least to Zack and me (he climbed into bed with me at 3 AM, and got so close we were like one), and it was very windy. I guess the further north we travel, the colder I should expect it to be. In the morning, Zack and I walked around...

Jun 20, 2008 - Black Canyon City, Arizona

Today it was off to Sweatville A.K.A (Black Canyon City), Arizona. We also visited beautiful Sedona, Arizona. It was a great expeirience and very beautiful. The bad news today was it was hot...again. Temperatures ranged from 120-110 degrees farenheit. Right now we are in a little K.O.A campsite and are cooling off. Tomorrow it will be off to Benson, Arizona. We will keep everyone posted and continue writing. -Connor

Mar 8, 2008 - A Heavyweight is Born

On the move again today. I would like to spend some more time around here, but Joe has to head out tomorrow out of Phoenix, so we nee to head up that way. After our experience there last week, we really didn't want to get anywhere near Phoenix again, so settled on a nice little place in Black Canyon City, about 30 miles north of Phoenix. Back out in the middle of nowhere; just how we like it. We are within an hour or so of lots and lots of amazing things in Arizona. In fact, we spent some time a bit north of here a couple of years ago while...

Dec 17, 2007 - Leaving Cottonwood

Twenty five degrees is cold! That is what it was this morning when we buttoned up the rig to move it up to the shop. The power cord was very stiff. Doug just carried it to the bed of the truck and manhandled it in. Laurence came down and we drove up to the office where he backed it into place for them to work on the trailer. When we bought the rig the salesman pointed out that these grease fittings were easy to work with. All we had to do, he said, was buy a grease gun and pump grease into the trailer wheels every six months or so. The...
